Terms & Conditions
The quote provided by MHN Crete Constructions Pty Ltd (MHN) aligns with the scope of work and/or pricing schedule as provided by the client.
- Works will commence on site after submitting signed contract/purchase order, acceptance of quote, or letter of intent.
- If the client does not provide the scope of work or pricing schedule, this quote does not pertain to the documented works.
- We will not sign a contract for “works as documented” if Scope of works/Pricing schedule is not supplied by client.
- Contract must refer back to this quote and its number.
- Quantities supplied by client might defer from actual poured quantities. Client will be invoiced per quantities poured unless noted otherwise on contract agreement.
- A document must be submitted explaining any changes to original design and/or variations. Verbal orders are not acceptable.
- Concrete placed as per drawings supplied to MHN at the time of this quote.
7.1. We have included an allowance of 3% on top of the estimated amount of concrete.
7.2. Any excess over the allowance described above must be paid by the client as a variation over this quote unless notified otherwise on contract.
7.3. Excess concrete due to incorrect preparation will be charged at cost + 10%. - Concrete pump must be supplied if:
8.1. Distance between truck and furthest point on pour > 30 metric tonnes (MT).
8.2. Existence of important uphills/ramp/steps between truck and pour.
8.3. We are pouring a feature higher than 300 millimetres (mm) and there is no full access for the truck. - Price escalation:
9.1. All rates and prices may be subject to escalation after the price has been accepted by the client.
9.2. We may increase an accepted price during the term of supply of the goods and/or works if there is an increase in the cost of its production or cartage. - Inclement weather:
10.1. We will need authorisation in writing to make pours on days with a rain chance greater than 50%.
10.2. We will need authorisation in writing to make pours on days with temperatures over 32 degrees Celsius.
10.3. The client will assume full responsibility over severe weather damage and its consequences on the written authorisation, MHN excepts no responsibility for any concrete poured with temperature above 32 degrees Celsius.
10.4. We will not pour without written authorisation. - All the following items are excluded from this quote unless noted otherwise:
11.1. All steel processing when steel is being supplied by others.
11.2. All concrete grinding, honing, polishing, sandblasting, abrasive/shot blasting, curing, pumping, sealing, demolition and testing.
11.3. All concrete sealing including acid washing, sealant, sealant primer, crack sealers, etc.
11.4. All concrete surface scabbling, cleaning, priming or bonding prior to third party works.
11.5. All drainage of any sort.
11.6. All plumbing installations and materials like pipes, trench drains, drainage strips, grids and lids, inspection points, pumps, etc.
11.7. All electrical installations and materials as wiring, housing, light boxes, junction boxes, gate motors, service location of any sort, repair or replacement of services in the vicinity of the works, both above and below ground is the responsibility of the client.
11.8. All ground prep including excavations, spoil removal, rubble supply, compaction, sealing (Spray seal, Dura seal, Denso wrap etc.) or protection (Geo Textile).
11.9. All caulking including joint sealers, edge sealers, soft cut fillers, rebate fill, etc.
11.10. All termite/pest protection/control (supply, installation and/or trimming). Inclusive of all pertinent arrangements to make this happen.
11.11. All brick laying activities (like laying, filling, etc) and materials including damp proof barriers (supply, installation and/or trimming).
11.12. All paving including areas with pavers butted into concrete areas (like paving bands). We will supply rebate for it.
11.13. All demolitions and disposal of demolition spoil of any sort.
11.14. All welding of any sort.
11.15. All waterproofing systems.
11.16. All precast concrete articles (like boulders, seats, walls, etc), their installation and any dowel/starter bar coming out of them.
11.17. All epoxy fixed elements like dowels, anchors, skate board deterrents, stainless steel features, etc.
11.18. All mechanical installations like anchors, gate rails (sliding gates, roller doors etc.), air conditioning bases etc.
11.19. All surveying:
11.19.1. We will need properly set out surveying pegs to determine the height and boundaries/outsets at which we will do the pour.
11.19.2. We will need all levels to be marked against or on buildings, pegs and others existent structures.
11.19.3. Surveying check-ups on ground preparation must be done by client.
11.20. Engineering reports, certificates and Engineer’s inspection. Inclusive of all pertinent arrangements to make them.
11.21. All changes derived from uncontrolled fill exceeding a certain limit.
11.22. Bondek support and installation.
11.23. Expansion foam (supply, installation and/or trimming).
11.24. Concrete bin, steel bin or any sort of bin hire.
11.25. All safety gear (yellow caps, provisional fencing etc.) beyond the duration of our stay for the whole project.
11.26. Slurry removal.
11.27. All concrete perimeter paving not fully described and specified on drawings.
11.28. No responsibility on our part for water ponding in structures with a grade of less than 1%
11.29. Water for washing exposed concrete.
11.30. Curing oil and saw cutting.
11.31. Care and protection of completed works including erection of barricades or bunting etc.
11.32. Cylinder or core testing or any other type of concrete testing.
11.33. Traffic control.
11.34. Rates do not include an allowance for inductions, and or police/security clearances.
11.35. Manual carrying of concrete and concrete pump trucks. - All works to be performed during normal working hours Monday to Friday.
12.1. All employees will be paid in accordance with the current awards and conditions.
12.2. Any down time including inductions or due to other trades/persons or machinery affecting the work area may be charged at $80 per hour, per person.
12.3. Unless otherwise agreed, this quotation will remain valid for thirty (30) days.
12.4. All rates are GST exclusive.
12.5. Footpath/slab rates are based upon a minimum of 30 square metres (sqm) per site visit in one area.
12.6. Unless otherwise agreed or notified before arriving on site, if minimum sqm/lineal metre requirements (Metropolitan area) are not provided then a small job loading fee of $750 per person (Mon-Fri) (Sat $850) will be charged plus any concrete poured or materials used.
12.7. Quantities required may differ from the minimum requirement after negotiation.
12.8. The most recently issued document or the document with the latest date supersedes any previous correspondence and/or quotations. - Payment Terms:
13.1. Payment is due within seven (7) days from the invoice date.
